How to correct code?

When I execute my code, I get
"Error using legend (line 278)
Invalid argument. Type 'help legend' for more information."
my line 278 is: make_legend(ha,args(arg:end),version, limitMaxLegendEntries);
Please help

You forgot to give the entire error message. For example, what is the line of code there your make_legend() function actually calls the build-in legend function. I suggest you closely look at the type of variables you are passing to legend(). One or more of them aren't correct. We don't know which because you didn't show us how you called legend().
