Embed Version/Git Hash Information into Compiled Executable

Is there a way to add executable information when compiling the matlab code into executable. For example if i wanted to embed GIT hash information when compiling so that the exact version of the software that was used to compile the executable could be tracked.

Hi Corey,
I understand that you are trying to create a standalone application and want to insert GIT hash information as metadata.
You can insert the metadata int “Description” of “Additional Information” while compiling the MATLAB program into a standalone application.
