Problem sharing Matlab app

I created a Standalone app with runtime included and trying to share it with someone who does not have Matlab on their computer. I couldn't send the files as attachments to an email, so I put the files on a flashdrive. The person who is trying to open the files is getting a message that the files are damaged. Does anyone have any experience sharing apps with people who don't have Matlab on their computers?

Installation of the app is in folder with the name 'for_redistribution', so you need to share that folder. During the installation of the app, person you shared it to will be prompted to install the MATLAB Runtime, without it, app will not work.
