Simulink Compute Engine (Frame-Time) States

For a realtime simulation application I need a way to provide a variable to another system which would indicate that the Simulink model has successfully completed running through all it's computations at a given allocated integrator frame_time. I'm not quite sure what's the best effective way of architecting this function. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
