Hi,
To make a display for GIF frame with a read function the code looks like below
allframedata = imread('YourFile.GIF', 'frames', 'all');
alldimensions = size(allframedata);
number_of_frames = alldimensions(end);

And for steganography of gif you can use LSB algorithm
