MPS to MATLAB format conversion?

I am using MATLAB to program Simplex methods. Now I'd like to test my code against some real-sized problems. Is there some sort of utility that will convert MPS files to .MAT format or at least some.m file that will read MPS?? Will I have to write it myself?
