Question about Training, Validation and Testing Data

Hi good day to all. My question is I have written a matlab code for BP MLP. I want to use this code for Training, Validation and Testing data at the same time. The approach that I have adopted that in the main iteration loop I have passed the three backprop algorithms. I want to know that is this a right approach or wrong to test the three test datasets.
