frequency shifting of band limited signal

Hello,
I have a nearly band limited data set. The band is centered at 7MHz. But I need to shift this band. How can I perform this shifting in both direction using matlab?

I multiplied a complex exponential in time domain to accomplish this shifting. But distortion in the spectrum was resulted. Any possible solution?

did you try the function "circshift" on fft ?
