Why do I receive an Invalid MEX File error when calling daqreset?

I am trying to connect to my NI USB-6009 DAQ device using the Hardware Support Package for DAQmx Devices.
  • When I try to connect to the device, mine doesn't show up.
  • Furthermore, when I try to call the daqreset function, I get an error message stating that I'm trying to call an invalid MEX Function and that I'm missing a shared library dependency for "d3dx9_43.dll".
I am able to successfully connect to the device using this workflow another machine.
How can I resolve this issue and connect to my device?

Error messages of this type are common when the installation for the Hardware Support Package for DAQmx Devices does not complete properly. To resolve the issue, simply uninstall the support package, reinstall it, and restart MATLAB.
