Adaptive filtering of ECG signal with Motion Artifacts

I am trying to filter out motion artifacts from an ecg signal with high motion artifacts. I have tried applying NLMS algorithm to my adaptive filter but it does not seem to work and some how the my signal is getting distorted for higher values of mu. Below is the result that I get which is very small in amplitude. Can anyone help me with this? I am really lost here.
I have attached the data along with the question. And also the codes that I am using.
