Plotting a .txt with labels

I have a .txt file with a list of years and a list of weights. It looks like this
"year",1850,1851,1852,1853,.....
"weight",10.084,11.494,13.853,17.662,16.325.....
When i try to plot this i get an error saying (Unknown text on line number 1 of ASCII file filename.txt
""year""). What is the best way of plotting this data?

Hit some "Data import" button by following
MATLAB > HOME > Data Import > "select a.txt" using Data import App
This way, you can exclude unnecessary part of the data such as text.
