Cannot load data to matlab

I have a file ARG_1. It is just a cell array that I have previously calculated.
Now I just want to load it:
load ARG_1
but I get the error:
Error using load
Unable to read file 'ARG_1'. No such file or directory.
Error in DATA (line 18)
load ARG_1
BUT IT DOES EXIST, and I can load it manually by clicking on the file as any other. It is in the same folder, so that is not an issue, don't know whats wrong.

It may need the extension as well:
load ARG1.mat
or:
load('ARG1.mat')
.
