Does a site license work when offline; if so, how long before it needs to be refreshed?

I am a Researcher, and the company has just moved to site licenses. I sometimes telework, but my home connection is not the most reliable. I have every confidence that I will be able to access the new license when connected to our VPN, but what about when I cannot connect to the VPN? Will the MatLab license still work? If so, how long will I be able to use MatLab before I must connect to the VPN to refresh the license?

One option would be to check with your IT department (or whomever maintains your licenses) to see if license borrowing is enabled or can be enabled for your license. Even if it is not enabled and cannot be enabled, you and your IT department can discuss how to make sure you have access to your license (and can ask MathWorks Support about additional options.)
