mxGetNumberOfElements causing matlab to force close

I have compiled a mex function that compiled fine, and part of the code is trying to get the size of a string in a cell array of strings. I am using the function: mxGetNumberOfElements, but for some reason this function is causing matlab to force close down. I am passing to it: 'const mxArray *Array_Ptr'. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Please post your code and then we can suggest corrections. If you are passing in a cell array of strings, you would need to use mxGetCell first, and then mxGetNumberOfElements on the result of the mxGetCell call.
