Default Plot Graphics Settings for Step Plots?

I'm trying to set my default settings for the stepplot(), bodeplot(), etc plots to match my settings for other plots. I can't seem to find a setting to programatically change the text interpreter for the title and axis labels. My default settings for the axis ticks work just fine. Here is what I'm doing in my startup.m:
set(groot, 'DefaultTextInterpreter', 'latex');
set(groot, 'DefaultLegendInterpreter', 'latex');
set(groot, 'DefaultAxesTickLabelInterpreter', 'latex');
Are there similar settings for response plots?

The options are limited with the Control System Toolbox functions. The easiest ones are in bodeoptions and more geneerally in setoptions. Others require a fair amount of spelunking through the plot properties to change, so I usually get the outputs of bode and others, and plot them using routine plot functions.
