Stuck with ode45 with events option

Hi,

i am trying to solve the following odeset. I have my @equ is of size 8x1 with initial condition also of 8x1. I have attahced a table which shows the indices actually I want to fetch the predesessor u_i-1 and successor u_i+1 while my solution current solution will be u_i (e.g. for first iteration u_i=u_0) and N=i+1 which keep on growing as the iterations moves. I think setting events options of odeset might help me but don't how it will work. Any help is really appreciated Thanks in advance.
