Using fzero

I keep getting this error when trying to use fzero :
Error using ==> fzero at 181 FUN must be a function, a valid string expression, or an inline function object.
Error in ==> SensorModelRev1 at 119 x=fzero(OptimizeDiff(PfrPfdGuess,Pfr),PfdGuess);
I have defined OptimizeDiff as a function; what I've tried already: -have made it an inline function object; -have defined a symbol for the inline function object;
Not sure what else to do?

doc function_handle
