difference between Geolocated Data grids and Regular data grids

Hi! what's the difference between Geolocated Data grids and Regular data grids? I have to create an image with intensities that are located in a specific lat -lon position. Is this the way to do that? Any suggestion? Thanks

This questions a bit vague. Can you say more about the data you have and what you're trying to do?

Hi @Chad Greene I don't have the data yet, but they constist in sonar intensities: values from 0 to 255. These values correspond to a specific lat-lon position of the seabed. I sholud create an image where the values are in the right position. Is it clearer now?
