What makes Matlab Distributed Computing Server "discoverable"?

I have recently installed Matlab Distributed Computing Server (DCS) on a cluster using Matlab Job Scheduler. From a Matlab client there is an option to "discover" DCS servers. How does one make a service "discoverable"?
