Continuous input from keboard

Hello everyone, I am trying to implement a function which allows to capture input from keybaord but not just one time. I would like to send input to a block, while the simulation is running. The input from the keyboard would change block parameters and the simulation at the same time.
Let me know what you can suggest. I have read about S-function, Embedded function but I am not familiar with them so I would appreciate any help.
