filtering data using gain and phase vector

Suppose you have the mag, gain, and phase response for an analog bandpass filter at discrete frequencies. How can you use this data to filter a time domain signal? I'd like to avoid using the MATLAB tools for synthesizing a FIR filter with arbitrary magnitude and phase.
