I have an image. how to calculate geomtric features of that image using matlb?

i am doing project on image prodessing in which i need geometrical features of an image (Perimeter ,Area , Minimum radius, Maximum radius, Average radius).

To get started, see my tutorial on image segmentation: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/?term=authorid%3A31862. Other than that it really depends on what features you want to identify and measure. Obviously assessing how normal some anatomy looks in an MRI image is going to require a much different algorithm than, say, counting the flecks of pepper on a white paper.
