Simulink Inter Processor Communication (IPC) on C2000 dual core processors specification

On a dual core c2000 it is possible to have 1 core running the Simulink code and the other core running a Code Composer Studio (CCS) program. In both programming environments the Inter Processor Communication (IPC) is specified to the other processor running a program in the same development environment. In CCS it is referenced to the hardware and the 2 possible driverlib solutions. I can't find any specification of the IPC in Simulink or an example how to use it without an IPC block on the other processor. So the question is does anybody know how to connect to the IPC blocks from the CCS environment? Documentation, examples, etc.
