Dear All: I want to find linear or non-linear parameters to fit a 2-D data to a given 2-D data. I will appreciate any help.

I have a 2-D data. Like v=f(x,y). I got another function like w=f(x,y). I want to find parametsr to couple v with w.

I don't know what couple means in this context. You can do a 2D fit to a polynomial with John D'Errico's polyfitn() John's huge File Exchange
