What's the acceptable value range for force feedback for the Joystick Input block?

I'm creating a flight simulation using the Joystick Input block from Simulink 3D Animation, and the documentation doesn't seem to say what the maximum and minimum input values for force feedback (FF) are. I'd like to know what those values are and how they relate to stick forces, preferably before I accidentally set my FF motors on fire.
My stick is a Logitech Force 3D Pro if that is relevant.

Hi Peter,
the range is from -1 to 1 for maximum force-feedback values in both directions. 0 means no force-feedback.
