Eliminate for-loop

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to eliminate the for-loop from the following sample code:

    x = linspace(x_min, x_max, divs_x);
    y = cos(x);
    z = zeros(divs_n, divs_x);
    for i = 1 : divs_n
       z(i, :) = i*y;
    end;
