Dutycycling Bluetooth Mesh Network

3 次查看(过去 30 天)
Hello everyone,
I found this Bluetooth Mesh simulation library and I'm very excited about it. I got a question regarding the energy profiling modeling. Is it somehow possible to add a dutycycle to the system simulation? Lets say the Bluetooth Radio is on for 10 seconds with ongoing network communication and then turned of for the next 20 seconds before this cycle repeats itself. I was planning to do so in my application with synchronized mesh nodes and it would be awesome to integrate this behavior in this system model.
Regards,
Bjoern

Hello,
It would help us understand your requirements better if you can tell us more about your workflow. Currently, the duty cycle at a mesh node is consistently maintained at 100%, as per the Bluetooth Mesh Protocol specification (Reference: Section 3.3.1).
If you want to simulate nodes with low power constraints, we do support the Low Power feature in mesh nodes, which operates with very low power. For more information about this support, please refer to Energy Profiling of Bluetooth Mesh Nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks.
Thanks,
Vamsi M
