Question on how to use MarkerSize and creating a custom marker

x = [-2, 3];
y = [2, 7];
plot(x,y);
Simple line, how would I go about marking these 2 points. Say I want to mark these 2 points with a circle of a specific size, with a color that's different from the edge color. I did try to just mark these 2 points by doing plot(x,y,'MarkerSize',20) but I'd get no changes with the graph.

To have a custom marker, you can place an image on that location. See attached demos.
