how to limit one axis in plot function

hai i want to limit one aixis for a particular limit how can i do this i think it is very easy , but i am new , plz any one can help me ex; plot(x,y1,x,y2,x,y3) in this i want to limit y axis in , i already limit x axis but i want to limit y1,y2,y3 in the limit of -1.5 to 1.5 plz guide me
