Does MATLAB support Analyze type images?

Analyze is a medical image format that is similar to DICOM, and I would like to be able to import and export this format with MATLAB.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:

The ability to read or write Analyze type images is not available in MATLAB.
