I downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Explorer and it does not appear as an option in the MATLAB source control preferences.

The source control interface on Windows works with any source control system that conforms to the Microsoft Common Source Control standard, Version 1.1. If your source control system does not conform to the standard, use a Microsoft Source Code Control API wrapper product for your source control system so that you can interface with it from MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
To interface into Visual Team Foundation Version Control 2008, you need to download the API wrapper by the name of Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider. This product can be found at
www.microsoft.com
by searching for the keywords: ‘Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider’.
