There are several different formats that control the displaying of numbers in Matlab. You can choose the format that is most suitable for you. This lesson teaches you how to set Matlab to use a specific display format and also teaches you the difference between these formats.
Normally, numbers in Matlab are stored using double precision values. There are a few formats available for the display of such numbers. The choice of any specific display format for displaying a number will not change its value, or its class.
Generally, all the formats display an integer number in the same manner as it is written. However, differences appear between the various different display formats when we are displaying real numbers.
