Project-Based Learning at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

The Robotics Association at Embry-Riddle (RAER) is a student organization at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach that supports student teams taking part in international student competitions like the NASA Robotic Mining Competition and the RoboNation suite of competitions. RAER has the distinction of being the only university team in the world that competes in all six RoboNation competitions across land, air, and sea.

RoboNation competitions encourage students to solve challenges like perception, navigation, and control, which are tackled by the autonomous and robotics industries, giving students the opportunity to work on projects beyond the scope of classroom learning. RAER students use MathWorks tools to prototype, simulate, test, and deploy algorithms for their vehicles.
