Control Design | State-Space Models, Part 2
From the series: State-Space Models
Design a full-state feedback controller using pole placement using Control System Toolbox™. You can use pole placement technique when the system is controllable and when all system states can be measured. Using the pole placement technique, you can design a controller so that closed-loop system poles are placed in desired locations to meet design requirements such as rise time, overshoot, and settling time.
This video shows how you can:
- Determine if a system is controllable by computing the rank of a controllability matrix.
- Use pole placement to design a full-state feedback controller to meet settling time and steady-state error requirements.
- Analyze closed-loop system performance in both time domain and frequency domain.
