Are you a seasoned marketing professional who thrives in a collaborative, process-oriented environmentand has a curious mindset? MathWorks is seeking an experienced Field Marketing Specialist to partner with business sectors and sales teams to build high-impact inbound and outbound marketing campaigns that generate new leads and engage existing customers. You’ll work at a strategic level supporting North America’s lead and awareness generation process, as well as at a tactical level developing campaigns for specific sales teams, industries, and application areas. 

In this position, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Industry Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative Services, and other groups across the organization and around the world. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, demonstrate a data-driven approach to demand generation, and have a proven history of cross-functional collaboration. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop annual marketing strategies that align with sales objectives, incorporating diverse inbound and outbound marketing tactics.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand and address the needs of their customers and prospects.
  • Work with global marketing teams on various projects to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create and leverage targeted, engaging content for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze customer and account data to generate actionable insights and convert them into leads.
  • Employ creativity in ad-hoc demand-generation activities.
  • Perform detailed analysis of marketing tactics, channels, and offers, providing recommendations to optimize the marketing program mix.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 years of professional marketing experience working in a high-tech environment.
  • Proven track record in developing, designing, and executing multi-touch, integrated marketing programs and demand generation campaigns in a B2B environment, with a solid understanding of lead generation.
  • Excellent project management, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior sales teams comprised of sales, technical, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, leveraging data for decision-making.
  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Both hands-on and strategic thinking attitude.
  • May require domestic travel <10%.
