Our in-house agency is currently looking for an experienced Visual Designer who will help create innovative designs for MathWorks’ websites, videos, and marketing communications.

Responsibilities

  • Build innovative designs for MathWorks’ websites, digital marketing programs, and other Marketing materials
  • Translate business partner needs into smart, measurable creative strategies that differentiate MathWorks and improve the customer experience
  • Build strong, collaborative business partnerships with key clients, colleagues, and partners. Develop innovative solutions in collaboration with other visual designers, project managers, editors, UX specialists, video producers, and subject matter specialists
  • Understand and utilize web standards, responsive design, content management systems, project management applications, and digital asset management systems
  • Collaborate on projects from start to finish and communicate design rationale and strategy
  • Help lead branding and design exercises intended to evolve the future state of our web design and web standards. Create new web components to be used by design teams.
  • Provide graphic support for video projects and help develop storyboards
  • Help evolve MathWorks Brand Guide and develop design systems that align with our brand guidelines, web standards, and product design

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Understanding how to design scalable websites using content management systems and components
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of MS Office software
  • Experience working with brand guidelines and specifications
  • Proven understanding of content management systems, HTML, CSS and web accessibility
  • Ability to understand and use data to rationalize design decisions and recommendation
  • Plusses: Experience with AEM, motion graphics, illustration, and video storyboarding
  • Online portfolio or equivalent required
