The Business Systems Applications team, within IT, is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst with a strong focus on security to work with several business partners and systems teams. This cross-functional role involves gathering requirements, analyzing needs, connecting the dots, and proposing thoughtful, cohesive solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in security projects such as role-based access control for our business systems, CMMC L1 and L2 certification work and data retention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business, Information Security, and IT Stakeholders: Work with business stakeholders, product owner(s), the Information Security team, Legal, and Agile development teams to deliver processes, policies, and system solutions that meet business security needs.
  • Requirements and Workflow Analysis: Analyze and document business requirements and workflows, ensuring they align with security standards and best practices.
  • System Design Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams, architects, user experience experts, and quality engineers on requirements and system design to improve the overall system and data security posture.
  • Security Assessments and Audits: Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks and perform regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Build Relationships: Build strong and trusting relationships with peers and business stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicates and presents complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive and curious nature, an independent self-starter.
  • Adept at cross-functional impact analysis, proactively collaborating across team boundaries to arrive at comprehensive and cohesive security solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze downstream impact of changes in complex systems.
  • Proven ability to elicit and document business requirements within an Agile framework, translating them into practical and clear user stories.
  • Experience with custom-built web applications, as well as platforms such as Salesforce, Service Now, Workday, Treasure Data, and Snowflake.
  • Experienced with data models and data analysis.

Pluses

  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Understands relational database design and can read/write SQL.
  • Experience with Agile methods and Scrum.
  • Familiar with system and data security concepts, certifications, data standards and best practices in a business systems context, such as role-based access control, CMMC, and data retention policies.
