Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for developing components of sophisticated web-based software; designing and implementing moderately-complex web-based software applications; participating in full-stack solution design and development of moderate scope (database, APIs, services, front-end); collaborating with business and stakeholders to develop and maintain systems and integrations required to support our enterprise customer data hub; analyzing business requirements; assisting cross-functional team members in engineering, quality engineering, user experience, and documentation; increasing productivity and bringing quality features to market; and working with subject matter experts in pursuit of continuous improvement of web application design.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Web Application Developer (or related occupation) developing full-stack Java-based web applications.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise designing and building REST web services using Java based frameworks -- Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA, and designing and executing automated and interactive tests for Java web services; designing and developing enterprise solutions and web applications using Spring MVC; performing debugging and root cause analysis; and verifying bug fixes.
  • Demonstrated expertise using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX to build presentation layers in web applications; and designing and developing modular and reusable UI components using JavaScript frameworks -- ReactJS, Backbone.js, AngularJS or jQuery.
  • Demonstrated expertise writing database queries and scripts on MS SQL Server databases to extract, manipulate and save data.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing software applications along the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to scrum-based Agile methodologies, including requirements gathering, functional design, architecture design, implementation, and testing.
