Join the MathWorks Finance team to develop a solid understanding of the procure to pay and travel to reimbursement cycles at a hi-tech company. The Procure to Payment role will allow you to deepen your finance knowledge, while exposing you to the importance of technology/systems, tax, internal controls, accounting, project management, metrics, and analysis.

You will work with a global team to assist suppliers and MathWorks staff, while working to drive process improvements. You will receive training, mentoring, and coaching, and opportunities to work closely with finance staff across various disciplines. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Procurement, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Tax to ensure the accuracy and validity of each transaction with a supplier. Partner with the Travel team to support MathWorks staff throughout the travel to reimbursement process.
  • Develop systems/application capabilities. Learn to troubleshoot, test and document system requirements.
  • Engage with suppliers and MathWorks staff to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies and to identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
  • Support accounting and audit requirements, applying a framework of internal controls and maintaining appropriate audit documentation. Assist with the monthly accounting close process, preparing account reconciliations and key metrics reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.

Additional Qualifications

  • B.S. with a concentration in accounting or finance a plus
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, and able to provide solid audit trails
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks, managing prioritization of duties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in learning modern technologies to increase automation and reduce manual processes
