Open a board-specific dialog box to set up the data acquisition board for Simulink Desktop Real-Time

Description

From the block parameters dialog box for a Simulink^® Desktop Real-Time™ block, the Board setup dialog box lets you setup the data acquisition board.

Open the Board setup

To open the Board setup dialog box:

Open the block parameters dialog box for a Simulink Desktop Real-Time block.
Either:
- If < no board installed > for the Data acquisition board, click the Install new board button. After you select and install a board, the Board setup dialog box opens.
- If a board is installed, click the Board setup button.

R2020a: CAN Devices Support CAN FD Protocol and CAN Silent Mode

You can Use CAN FD protocol support for CAN device boards as an option in the board setup (where supported by hardware). You can Enable silent mode operation for CAN device boards as an option in the board setup (where supported by hardware).

R2020a: Append to Existing File Support for File Devices

You can select the Write (append to existing file) option for the File open mode on Standard devices > File boards.

R2019b: Removed Support for ISA I/O Boards and PC/104 I/O Boards

Simulink Desktop Real-Time support is removed for ISA I/O boards and PC/104 I/O boards.

R2019a: Virtual CAN Channel Support

The Packet Input block and Packet Output block support virtual CAN channels that are available from the Vehicle Network Toolbox™. To add a virtual CAN channel as an I/O for these blocks, use the Install new board button in the Block Parameters dialog box, and select MathWorks > virtual CAN.
