How to find variance of different score group

I have four different score groups to be analysed and I am required to find the variance of each group. I need to know what function to be used in order for me to get the variance for each group.

Did you try to look up variance in the help? Did you stumble across the var() function?
var1 = var(group1);
var2 = var(group2);
var3 = var(group3);
var4 = var(group4);
