I am doing ME final year project and my area is image processing. My project is based on stereo vision and i capture the slug flow using stereo vision. Now i am in need of Matlab code to calculate the area and velocity for that image.

I imagine it might be. You can use the Image Processing Toolbox or Computer Vision System Toolbox to write your code. I don't have any slug identification software and there is no slug identification toolbox or function. You'll have to use the functions that are in the toolboxes and combine them to do your task.
