Hi,
installing Matlab R 2014a seems to put the network.lic-file to the appdata-folder of the user who is installing the software. We deploy Matlab silently without user-interaction using SCCM - so the installing user is 'local system'.
Is there a way to set the location to '%programfiles%\matlab\R2014a\licenses\network.lic' without using a script to move the network.lic-file?

The location of the license file depends on the license type. To my best knowledge, having it in the appdata-folder means you install a "individual named user" license. Saying that it look like you cannot achieve your goal completely. You can install all files without enduser interaction, but still it needs interaction for the activiation?
I also know you can work with the LM_LICNESE_FILE environment variable. If SCCM can create environment varaibles, you can point to the location of the license file. For details on all above, please contact MathWorks installation support.
Last not least, you may not use the best license type for your requirements. You may want to discuss this with the Account Manager from MathWorks.

hi andreas,
thank you for you reply. I deploy mathlab silently using the installer_input.txt. There is a section for the license-file:
licensePath=license.dat
In ealier Matlab-Versions (eg 2013a) this file was then copied to this location: %programfiles%\matlab\R2014a\licenses\network.lic
I am using the local system account for deployment (SCCM 2012) because users dont't have admin-privs. So the network.lic-file gets copied somewhere in the windows-folder - and Matlab is not looking up this location upon startup.
I thought there might be a setting to tell Matlab to put the networkl.lic somewhere else - as in my case to the installation folder.
