error in installation(product configuration notes)

whenever i install matlab after completion it shows folllowing error. your installation may require additional configuration steps. see the notes below for instructions: 1.to comfigure Real-Time Windows Target you must type 'rtwintgt-setupt'in a MATLAB command window. 2.There are new or updated products available, but the installer could not connect to www.mathworks.com, or could not get any data from web site.
and error starting desktop. runtime error

I believe the actual error when starting the desktop is unrelated from the additional configuration steps. It might me an unsupported OS for your MATLAB or an unsupported CPU?

Please open a new thread for a new question. Hijacking an existing thread causes confusions, because it is not longer clear to which question an answer belongs. Please remove this answer after opening a new questions.
Did you try already to "type 'rtwintgt-setupt'"? Can you offer any details about why mathworks.com cannot be reached? Perhaps the computer is offline?
