Will this computer run Matlab?

I'm trying to buy a new laptop for university but don't really want to buy a gaming laptop. Will this laptop be good for running Matlab (Student version) at recommended specs?
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 (Clock Speed: 2.8GHz)(Boost Frequency: 4.7GHz)
RAM: 16GB
Graphics Card: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD

Yes, of course. This is a powerful computer.
It depends, on what you want to compute. If a model does not match into the RAM, more RAM is required. But standard problems for studying will work.

I'm completely new to Matlab so I'm unsure as what you mean.
I'm guessing that different functions can end up requiring high amounts of RAM?
Big thanks for the help though!

You can do a fair bit of work with 16 gigabytes of RAM.
... but if you have several MATLAB sessions going and a virtual machine running a different operating system, and you have Maple computing differential equations... you would certainly run out with 16 gigabytes (you would probably run out with 32 gigabytes too.)
In the past, in postings, people have seriously proposed running code that would take more memory than is physically possible in the Universe. No matter how much memory you have, there are programs for which it will not be enough.
