Arduino Simulink Model Works fine when running on board but says digital i/o pin invalid in connected IO mode

I just started using version 2021b. When trying the simple blink a light model in Simulink
, when running on the Arduino 2560 everything works fine. However when I try to run the exact same model in Connected IO mode it tells me the digital pin I am trying to write to is invalid and won't run. It doesn't matter which pin number I try, the result is the same. Am I forgetting to enable something, or is there a bug.
