How to display images in main window?

Hello, I'm writing a programm computing holograms and I'd like to check results by displaying the transmissivity function, which the programm has computed. However, I'd like to display the image straight in the matlab main window without creating/opening new window as command imshow does. Is it possible? Thanks for your aswers. Jim

I don't think images can be displayed in MATLAB's command window (atleast, without major Java-hackery). But you could consider simply docking the figures, which would provide a similar result.
