Problems interaction rs232 (Serial)

I'm working on a project where serial communication has to send and write on microcontroller and MATLAB, I've established communication UART between them, and it works.
Microcontroller read and write well, and MATLAB write also well too. The problem comes when the 'micro' send bytes to MATLAB. The last one lose a lot of bytes and sometimes read some byte (lucky strike I suppose)
How I can establish a little synchrony?
