how to activate when this happens

I got a one-year student license recently and used the software on a windows pc, but I bought a macbook this week and want to sell the old laptop now. Then I went into trouble activating it...should I do something else cause it's another computer? thanks in advance

Deactivate it on your old computer then install and activate it on the new computer. Call the Mathworks if you run into any help for free installation help, even for student version.

I've deactivated disabled firewall...maybe my pc is not good enough...
