Write a script that draws an equilateral triangle that is partitioned into four smaller equilateral triangles by connecting the midpoints of its sides. The four little triangles should be colored differently

You mean something like this?

This consists of three corner points and three midpoints. Four patch objects are created by selecting from those six points.

KSSV and I have given you some clues as to a general approach. As this is your assignment, the exact implementation is your task.
